Frank had a dream that his two boys would play sports like he did growing up. So together, he and his wife Karla created Hoop Heroes Inclusive Basketball — a program for kids of all abilities to participate in a fun and inclusive sport.
Today, Hoop Heroes serves children ages 5–18 with extraordinary needs across Fort McMurray. Every player is buddied with a community volunteer or volunteer athlete each week, so parents can sit back and simply enjoy watching their child play.
We're powered by volunteers, supported by donors, and driven by a community that refuses to leave anyone on the sidelines.

Meet Marcus
Marcus joined Hoop Heroes when he was nine. Today he's a team captain, mentor to the younger Mini Heroes, and one of the loudest cheerleaders on the bench.
